The LA Galaxy wrapped up their 2025 season with a 2-2 draw against Club América on Nov. 15, in a match heavily affected by rain and ended early due to lightning.
But beyond the result, the Galaxy are already projecting into the future. They unveiled their 2026 regular-season schedule including 17 home games at Dignity Health Sports Park, and announced the installation of a statue honoring club legend Cobi Jones in Legends Plaza.
Still, challenges remain. The club’s strikers combined for only eight MLS goals this season — roughly half what the departed Joveljic managed alone the year before — highlighting a structural need up front. Coach Greg Vanney emphasized recruitment and alignment with the front office to fill the gap.
With key players such as Riqui Puig returning from injury and others entering their off-season preparation, the Galaxy are positioning themselves for a bounce-back. The message is clear: while 2025 ended with mixed feelings, the work for 2026 is already underway.
In essence, the Galaxy’s current phase is one of transition. The club recognizes it must correct offensive inefficiencies and build depth — but signs of planning and culture resets are already visible.
